Most businesses are further along than they think - and some are less ready than they believe. Readiness isn't about size or technical sophistication. It's about having defined processes, even imperfect ones, that could run more efficiently. Do I need a technical background to work with PIC?

No. Our clients are typically operations leaders, business owners, and program managers - people who understand their business deeply but don't necessarily have an IT or engineering background. What’s the difference between your services? Where do most clients start?

Most clients start in one of two places: AI Strategy & Readiness if they want a structured roadmap before committing to any build, or Workflow Automation if they already know which processes are costing them the most time. The discovery call helps us figure out which entry point makes sense for your situation. PMO Implementation is our flagship for clients managing multiple concurrent projects who need both structure and visibility.

What is the AI Agent Ecosystem and how is it different from your other services?

Most of our services address one process or one function. The AI Agent Ecosystem is different - it's coordinated infrastructure. Multiple specialized agents, each handling a defined role (inbox management, lead qualification, operations tracking, financial monitoring), all working together and reporting to you. It's designed for business owners who are ready to stop being the integration layer between every tool they use. Because it involves more complexity and customization, it's currently in limited availability - we're accepting a small number of clients into the Early Access program.

Call Companion is a PIC-built AI tool that captures key takeaways, action items, and follow-ups from client conversations in real time. It's designed for consultants, account managers, and business owners who have a lot of client calls and currently rely on manual notes - or, worse, memory. We use it inside PIC every day, and it's now rolling out to clients. Ask about it on your discovery call.

Can you help with traditional program management, not just AI?

Yes. PIC's traditional consulting practice covers Program Management, New Product Introduction (NPI), fractional Chief of Staff support, and operations strategy. These services run parallel to our AI practice - and often, the most effective engagements combine structured program management with targeted automation. If you need operational leadership that isn't AI-related, we can help with that too.

How long does a typical engagement take?

It depends on the scope. A workflow automation project for a defined process can take a few weeks from assessment to deployment. A full PMO implementation is a longer engagement - typically measured in months, not weeks, because we're building governance infrastructure, not just a tool. The AI Strategy & Readiness engagement is fixed-scope and delivers a written roadmap, typically within two to three weeks. We'll give you a realistic timeline estimate after the discovery call, once we understand your specific situation.

What does the implementation process look like from start to finish?

Every engagement follows the same sequence: assess first, then design, then build, then test, then deploy. We don't skip the assessment phase to move faster - that's where most implementations fail. For AI builds, we pressure-test everything in our own environment before it goes into yours. After deployment, we stay engaged through adoption - until the system is working operationally, not just technically.

What do you need from my team during implementation?

Subject matter expertise and decision access. We need someone on your side who understands how the work actually gets done - not a project manager, but the person who does the work or manages the people who do. We also need timely decisions when they come up. Our process is designed to minimize your time investment, but we can't build a system that fits your business without your input at key points.

What happens after the engagement is complete? Do you offer ongoing support?

It depends on the engagement. Some projects are fixed-scope with a defined handoff - you receive the system, documentation, and a handoff session. Others include ongoing retainer support for optimization and updates. We structure this based on what your situation actually requires, not a standard package. If ongoing support matters to you, flag it early - we'll build it into the scope.

How does PIC price its services?

Our engagements are scoped and priced based on what the work actually requires - not off-the-shelf packages. Most projects are structured as fixed-scope engagements with defined deliverables, so you know what you're getting before we start. Retainer arrangements are available for ongoing work. We don't publish standard rates because the range is too wide to be meaningful - a single workflow automation project and a full PMO implementation are structurally different engagements. The discovery call is where we establish scope, and pricing follows scope.

Is there a minimum engagement size?

We work with clients at different stages, and we're not looking to over-scope an engagement to hit a minimum. That said, some services - particularly the AI Agent Ecosystem and full PMO Implementation - have a natural complexity floor that determines how we structure the work. Do you work on a project basis or retainer?

Both, depending on the service and your needs. Strategy and assessment work is typically fixed-scope. Implementation projects are typically project-based. Ongoing optimization and agent management can be structured as a retainer. We’ll recommend a structure based on your situation, but the decision is yours.
